Universidad Azteca fosters plurality of thought and cultural diversity and, thus, its faculty’s academic freedom. This right implies fulfilling the academic programs in effect and observing the established research norms. Academic freedom is understood as:
- The freedom to teach, this is, a professor’s right to present the results of his/her research findings and studies, and the different schools of thought and analysis relevant to the discipline
- The freedom to perform research, in agreement with Universidad Azteca mission’s aim, and to publish its findings.
Academic freedom implies the responsibility to refrain from using research as a proselytizing instrument in favor of any ideological, religious or political group.
